NUP102

Die NUP102 vom amerikanischen Hersteller National Union ist eine mittelgroße Kopffüßler-Nixie mit einer Ziffernhöhe von 15.5mm:

Die Ziffern sind sehr schmal geraten, und auch sonst wirkt die NUP102 eher untypisch für die 15.5mm-Reihe. Wahrscheinlich ist die NUP102 eine relativ alte Nixie, wer mehr darüber weiß, kann mir gerne eine Email schreiben, ich würde mich freuen. Die NUP100 scheint eine Nixie aus der selben Zeit zu sein.

Ich besitze eine weitere NUP102, der die schwarze Hülle fehlt, leider ist dieses Exemplar defekt (gebrochenes Glas), aber hier sind trotzdem beide Exemplare einmal nebeneinander zu sehen:

Hier ist ein Unterschied zwischen den beiden Modellen zu sehen: Die Reihenfolge der Ziffern ist nicht die selbe, beim linken Exemplar steht die Ziffer 4 vorne, beim rechten Exemplar die Ziffer 8. Vielleicht sind es ja doch nicht die gleichen Röhren, ich weiß es nicht genau.

Auf dem rechten Foto erkennt man, dass diese Nixie wohl auch einmal schwarz eingefärbt war.

Aber nun zum Leuchtbild der NUP102:

Das Leuchtbild ist etwas verschwommen, das liegt daran, dass das Glas an verschiedenen Stellen verschieden dick ist. Hier ist das Leuchtbild der NUP102 von der Seite aus zu sehen:

Leider besitze ich kein Datenblatt zur NUP102. Sollte jemand im Besitz dieses Datenblattes sein, würde ich mich über eine Mail diesbezüglich sehr freuen.

Neben der NUP102 gibt es noch die NUP118, NU124-6, NUP120 und NUP121 von National Union. Über diese Nixies ist fast nichts bekannt, wenn Sie mehr wissen (zum Beispiel wenn Sie Fotos oder Datenblätter haben), schreiben Sie mir bitte eine Email, ich würde mich sehr freuen.

NUP102

The NUP102 from the American manufacturer National Union is a medium sized top-view Nixie tube with a digit height of 15.5mm:

The digits of the NUP102 are very narrow, the NUP102 looks different from the standard 15.5mm Nixie tubes, anyway. Probably, the NUP102 is a rather old Nixie tube, if you know more, please write me an email, I would be glad. THe NUP100 appears to be from the same era.

I possess another NUP102 that is missing the black coating, but sadly this specimen is defective (broken glass); anyway, here are the two tubes in direct comparison:

You can actually see a difference: The foremost digit is different; the left tube has the digit 4 at the front, and the right tube has the digit 8 foremost. Maybe they are not the same tubes after all, I simply don't know exactly.

The right picture reveals that this Nixie tube has probably been originally coated black.

This is the glowing NUP102:

The display is blurred, but that is due to the uneven glass bulb. Here you can see the display from the side:

Unfortunately, I do not have any datasheet for the NUP102. If someone can provide me with a datasheet, please email me.

Next to the NUP102 there are the NUP118, NU124-6, NUP120 and NUP121 from National Union. Practically nothing is known about these Nixie tubes, if you have more information (e.g. pictures or datasheets), please do not hesitate to contact me, I would be very glad.
